Though the slopes don’t have any snow just yet at Wintergreen Resort, they’ve already had a tiny snow back in mid-October. That was just enough to get everyone in the spirit for the upcoming season!

Long before the slopes up at 3000 feet are covered in snow, the people behind the scenes are prepping for the 2009-2010 season.

Our Paul Purpura, also a ski instructor at the resort, was at this past weekend’s rehire clinic that interviews and rechecks veteran and newcomer staff that will be manning the slopes at Wintergreen.

New comers attended two days of orientation while the veterans only had to attend one.

After the clinics, everyone was treated to a well deserved barbecue at Lake Monacan.
