Sounds of The Beatles filled the air over the vineyards at Delfosse this past Saturday afternoon and evening October 9th. Abbey Road played for their first time at the east Nelson County vineyard and winery. A special thanks to Kendall Sterling for the pics!

It was a picture perfect afternoon and evening over The Columbus Day weekend to sit outdoors and enjoy the wine, music, and food.

Abbey Road is well know for their Beatles hits, playing at venues all across the Mid-Atlantic.

The Abbey Road Band this past Saturday - October 9, 2010 performing at Delfosse.

Of course no music would be complete without the wine!

Fantastic food accompanied the music.

People packed the tasting room at Delfosse too, for a wonderful afternoon and evening of music.

Saturday’s performance by Abbey Road is just one of the many events held throughout the year at Delfosse here in Nelson.

Late Saturday evenings in Nelson generally mean Starry Nights over at Veritas Winery and Vineyard. The event is held one Saturday a month throughout the warm months. This past weekend The Abbey Road Band played to over a thousand people at Starry Nights. Thanks to Kim Chappell over at www.experiencenelsoncounty.com for sharing a couple of her photos with us!

Starry Nights continues next month on August 14th, when LIttle Freddie King, New Orleans Blues Legend, will be on hand.

Parents and kids danced into the night at this past weekend’s Starry Nights at Veritas Vineyard and Winery. The Abbey Road Band played hits of The Beatles. Last month rains and thunderstorms dampened the first Starry Nights of the season, but not this one! Approximately 1500 to 2000 people packed the lawn outside Veritas to enjoy the annual event that runs into late summer.

This Starry Night's fan enjoys a delicious white wine on a hot and humid Saturday evening @ Veritas.

The lawn was packed this past weekend at the second Starry Nights of the season.

Starry Nights runs until September 12th, 2009 which will be the last performance of the season.

Next month Robert Jospe, High-Energy Jazz will perform at Starry Nights on Saturday, August 8th, 2009, 7-11 p.m

Veritas Vineyard & Winery’s start to the 2009 Starry Nights was a bit of a soggy one for the first part of the evening, but folks took it in stride and took it inside until the showers passed. After roughly 30 minutes the rains ended leaving a wonderful evening of wine and music by King Cadillac.

Huge thunderstorms moved out of the Afton area around dark, just in time for the music to kick off at this year's Starry Nights.

The rain stopped and folks who briefly went inside were back out enjoying the first Starry Nights of 2009!

Folks enjoy a picnic style dinner on the ground of Veritas this past weekend.

King Cadillac played to the crowd well into the night.

Yvette Stafford and, Junior Publisher, Adam Stafford take a stroll at Starry Nights 2009.

It was a perfect evening for wine and a walk at Starry Nights.

Veritas owner, Andrew Hodson, was having a great time taking a few pics!

Starry Nights continues each month through the summer until mid September.

The next Starry Nights is Saturday, July 11th, 2009, 7-11 p.m featuring Abbey Road, Beatles Cover Band.
