Nelson County, Virginia
September 2010 started off very dry, but ended very wet! As we’ve been talking about here at NCL over in Tommy’s Weather, heavy rains and lots of tropical moisture hit the area Thursday creating flooding in some parts of Nelson. By far the hardest hit areas were in the coastal regions of the state and the DC area. Click here to see rainfall totals across the Mid-Atlantic area including Nelson.
Our NCL Weathernet stations showed anywhere from 2.5 inches of rain all the way up to 5+ inches of rain for the period ending at midnight on September 30th.
CBS-19 in Charlottesville has a nice summary for the month of September in Brantley’s blog here.

The upcoming weekend will be a stark contrast to the recent heavy rains.
Tommy talks all about it in his audio weather here!
Have a great weekend!
