It’s been a busy month over at Afton Mountain Vineyard. For the several Fridays in a row, the bottling line has been busy as they cork some amazing wines. “We are bottling Mountain White. 320 Cases.” said Tony Smith. He and his wife Elizabeth bought the winery and vineyard back in early 2009 from Tom and Shinko Corpora who owned it since 1988. Click here to read the print story we did back in April 2009.
Robbie Corpora, vineyard manager, at AMV preps bottles for filling this past Friday. Robbie stayed on with AMV after his parents moved and retired to California.
“We average between 70 & 80 cases an hour. The Mountain White is a blend of three white grapes. Chardonnay, Riesling and Vidal Blanc,” Tony continues.
