I’m so very sad this wonderful place could not offer the right mix for locals, Wintergreen owners, and tourists. I so much enjoyed it. But you know – I’m tired of local places having such awful employees that poison the atmosphere. I used to spend $Texas every week until one day I forgot my wallet and tried to use a plastic card for a small purchase. This is not the only business in that circle with a problem – better we say so than make excuses for why we are not regulars.

To Nancy, Richard, and all the crew past and present, thank you so much for such a valuable asset to our community. Linda and I travel so much we were not able to be ‘regulars’ the way we wanted. Thank you both for running a great coffee shop. I have enjoyed weekend morning coffee with my family many times at JD, and my daughter especially loved the hash browns and waffles. Really a neat building as well, so I hope someone takes over for you all. I am going to miss sipping coffee on the deck looking up at 3Ridges.

Could Richard consult with the new owners to come about his omelette recipe! My goodness they were tasty. Nancy and the team did a great job there developing a really neat community asset, and hopefully that will inspire a new crew. Sincere thanks for the contribution you made in 2009-10.
