Stormy Friday In Nelson : Memorial Weekend Much Better!

The last week of May heading into Memorial Day Weekend ended on a stormy note for sure! Both Thursday and Friday parts of Nelson County saw severe weather consisting of heavy rains, severe thunderstorms, and hail from time to time.
The above video was shot in Nellysford late Friday afternoon when small hail, heavy rains and severe thunderstorms moved through.
Rockfish in E Nelson County picked up the most rainfall during the Thurs-Fri 24 hour period with 4.38 inches of rain. Several locations lost power from the storms, but no major outages were reported.
Showers and thunderstorms will still be possible on Saturday under partly sunny skies, but will taper off late in the day. Mostly sunny skies and warm temps return by Sunday. Hot temps in the lower 90′s return by Memorial Day!
