You couldn’t ask for better weather! The 2010 opening day of The Nelson Farmers Market Co-op kicked off Saturday morning with crystal blue skies and a parking lot packed with people. No wonder after this past winter!
This picture pretty much tells the story. Tons of people packed the opening day of the market in Nellysford.
Victor Cabas is a popular favorite at the market! He entertained the crowds coming by Saturday. Nelson County Life Magazine is a music sponsor at this year's market.
Junior publisher, Adam Stafford, normally would walk the market, but he's been a bit under the weather lately, so mom chauffeured him around this time!
The market includes just about anything you can think of. And local to boot!
Natural honey sticks are a big favorite among the kids!
The Nelson Master Gardeners, annually, are at the market.
Lots of homemade goodies are always at the market!
The farmers’ market is open each Saturday from May until October.

Banning dogs in the tented area may or may not be good decision- but don’t you think there could have been a preannoucement of the new policy?
And if we are on some banning kick of annoyances can we get rid of the strollers? I lost count of the times I’ve been bumped by one and then slobbered on by its occupant.
Glenthorne, there was a pre-announcement, and it was clearly listed on the Nelson Farmers Co-op website about the change this year. As for the strollers, I’ll be sure to let Adam know that so he can stay out. Let’s be sure to ban grumpy people too.
