Nellysford
Nelson County, Virginia

Way back in April 2007 we did a story named Shoefiti (Issue#25) about the famous tennis shoes hanging on a power line over Route 151 just south of Nellysford. We did a web update here in late April 2007 about other hanging shoes. Last Friday those widely talked about 151 shoes finally dropped! We literally got this shot about 60 seconds before a lady living nearby walked into the highway and took the shoes away!

Chris Barksdale alerted us Friday on our Nelson Mag Facebook Wall:

” BREAKING NEWS IN NELLYSFORD…. This morning between 11 & 12:00 the tennis shoes on the electric line across Rt 151 came down. How long did those shoe laces last ?”

A long time Chris, for sure!

The shoes hanging on the power line back in March of 2007. They finally dropped this past week!

The story finally has an ending!
