What happened to all of those chickens? There were enough birds on that operation to feed everyone in Nelson County for a month or three. Until the ORFHC starts cleaning out more foxes, I could use some replacements.

I am relieved to know that your are friends with the Black Eagle family and are only trying to report
the facts in this sad turn of events. So many people are going through this type of thing and it is very heartbreaking to see the list of foreclosures each day in the local papers. I will be praying for all of these families.

Thanks for your remarks Hayley G. While we appreciate what you have to say, our intent here was not to diminish the misfortune of the Black Eagle family. As a matter of fact, they have been very good clients of ours in the past and their project, noble and ambitious for Nelson County. We opted to report this article since so many half truths have been circulating about what's really taking place with the farm. We have received numerous inquires about the disposition of the farm and what was happening.

In short, don't shoot the messenger ...

We have nothing but the best wishes for the struggles this family and countless others in this county and country are going through in a downturned economy.

What a sad statement when it is chosen to publish someone's misfortune. I am sure the owners of this business are struggling and have enough to worry about than to read this as a feature article. Shame on you!
