RVCC-Design Marathon Contest Winner
OCKFISH VALLEY COMMUNITY CENTER PART OF 2ND ANNUAL DESIGN MARATHON
The Rockfish Valley Community Center (RVCC) has been selected as one of eleven non-profit organizations to benefit from the Second Annual Design Marathon, co-sponsored by the Charlottesville Community Design Center (CCDC) and the Charlottesville Area Community Fund (CACF). The Design Marathon is an annual event in which professional graphic designers, architects and landscape architects give back to the community by providing pro-bono design services to deserving Charlottesville area non-profits. RVCC hopes to emerge from the Design Marathon with an exciting new landscape and structural plan that takes full advantage of its ten acres and seventy year-old building. These plans will be created based on the needs and feedback of the RVCC community. The Design Marathon is happening on Friday, October 2 from 10 am to 10 pm at the CCDC (105 N. 5th St. on the Downtown Mall) and the public is welcome from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Please come out and show your support for RVCC and the volunteer designers who are helping us create a great new vision for the future.
