Devils Backbone Helps Nelson Dental Clinic On First Day Of Fall : 9.23.09

Folks turned out yesterday afternoon and evening for great musical entertainment, great beer, and great food. It all benefited The Nelson Dental Clinic, a program under the umbrella of Blue Ridge Medial Center, (BRMC) Free Clinic of Central Virginia, and The Thomas Jefferson Health District. Devis Backbone Brewing Company (DBBC) contributed a portion of the total day’s revenue to the dental program. Jennifer Kirkland & Bert Carlson kicked of the afternoon with singer/songwriter Jan Smith capping off the evening.
Merideth Young-Fogleman helps out Tuesday night as folks show up to hear great music and help out the clinic.
Right now the clinic operates on a part-time basis in a trailer at The Rockfish Valley Community Center. Eventually Blue Ridge Medical Center will establish a full-time dental clinic at its site in Colleen.
