As a vendor and local resident I like to talk to people I don't recognize to hear why they came to the event. Most of them come to camp in the Blue Ridge, hike Crabtree Falls or visit the Montebello Fish Hatchery. Our market is a bonus and the famous peach cobbler is a double bonus. I was happy to see Supervisor Connie Brennan. Although not from our district, she likes to support local volunteer organizations. The visit from Air Care 5 was a treat for everyone. It is nice to know an evacuation helicopter can get to our mountainous community. It is a comfort to local residents and visitors as well. Minutes after the close of the Market our EMT's were called out to handle an emergency on the Crabtree Falls trail. Our new ambulance will be well used.
