Slow Thaw Then Much Colder By Sunday

The huge icicles like those above from water dripping out of the rocks here in Nelson County, Virginia should have a chance to melt a tad over the next 2-3 days as warmer air works into the area. Temperatures today wil warm into the upper 40′s for afternoon highs today in the valley and even into the mid 50′s by tomorrow.
The next cold snap starts in the second half of the weekend when afternoon highs will only reach the mid 30′s for valley highs and upper 20′s in the mountains. You can read more in Tommy’s Weather by clicking here.
