Afton – Nelson-Albermarle County Line, Virginia
With temps in the upper 30′s for most of Saturday, the steam was rising off of the very yummy Brunswick stew being served up at a.m. Fog in Afton, Virginia.

Folks got in line to get some stew while others picked out Christmas trees or listened to live music.

The Afton Amblers were on hand playing old time music and bluegrass as well as holding an afternoon jam session.
Hope you were able to drop by and get some, we had it for lunch and it was perfect!

I’m looking the fly that mysteriously disappeared. JUST KIDDING!!
We are so grateful to everyone who came out yesterday and made the day SO much FUN! This year was the largest jam session (17 people) that we have had; and to hear them jam was an experience not to miss.
Many thanks to Dinah and Cheryl. Dinah for bringing the Afton Amblers and Cheryl for emailing and organizing the jam session!
We will hold the stew and music event every December on the Saturday around the 12th to 15th each year.
Merry Christmas to All!
