Correction: Relay for Life meeting
Thank you Sheila Layton for pointing out the typo in the Relay for Life story in the September issue. It was co-organizer Susan Steven’s parents — not Sheila’s — who suffered from cancer. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Needless to say, both women’s lives have been affected by cancer, which is why they are planning this event.
For those interested in helping organize Nelson County’s first Relay for Life event, call 434-263-5305 or 434-277-9409 for information. Monthly meetings at Tye River Elementary School begin September 2 at 7pm, that is this Tuesday. The event is planned for June 20, 2009.
